Powered by bio-enzymes (amylase, protease, lipase and cellulase) and the goodness of bentonite clay, SPRUCE gently cleans and softens fabrics naturally!

Among our key home-care companions, laundry detergents are often laden with chemicals that are harsh on our fabrics as well as the water bodies they eventually wash into. Also, liquid laundry detergents are mostly packaged in heavy plastic bottles that are discarded post use and are less than 10% likely to be recycled.

Powder formats are generally considered more eco-friendly and can be packaged more minimally. We have taken it a step further and made Spruce Laundry Detergent 100% plastic-free! Its ingredients have been carefully chosen to be gentle on our hands and non-toxic to the environment around us.

USE: Measure 30g detergent using the scoop provided inside for machine (top and front load) or hand wash of one load of up to 6kg clothes. For tough stains, wet the area, apply small amount directly and rub gently before wash.

EFFICIENCY: 30g Spruce is equivalent to 60g of normal detergent; a small amount goes a long way and helps cut down on carbon footprints.

PACKAGING: The powder is packaged in paper! This can be recycled normally, or be added to a home (or community) composting unit or to your garden soil, and will break down easily under natural conditions.

  Thanks for your feedback! This is a concentrated formula and needs to be used in half quantity relative to regular detergent. So the effective quantity is 1.5kg and not 750g. Hope this helps ☺️

The detergent smells amazing & leaves a light scent on clothes. I love how it doesn’t pollute the water and is eco-friendly. The only issue I found is that it doesn’t dissolve very well in the water and leaves a powdery residue on the clothes which needs to be dusted post wash & dry. The origami scoop is adorable & creative but the granules of the detergent get stuck in its crevices so I used a simple spoon instead. Will definitely buy again as the pros supersede the cons. Thanks!
