Use

Don’t throw away your old laundry liquid bottle! Reusing is awesome ❤ Please refer to the images for simple steps to create laundry liquid from grains. There will also be a detailed instruction leaflet inside the pack you receive.

These grains are coconut oil based and behave similarly! If the temperature in your area is below 18 degrees centigrade, the grains will not dissolve.

If the liquid was prepared in warmer conditions, it can freeze if temperature falls later. Please keep it in a warm or sunlit place and it will go back to its usable form shortly :)

Storage

Please keep in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight

If you are in an area with high humidity, please store the pouches in an airtight container to avoid clumping.

Among our key home-care companions, laundry detergents are often laden with chemicals that are harsh on our fabrics as well as the water bodies they eventually wash into. Also, liquid laundry detergents are mostly packaged in heavy plastic bottles that are discarded post use and are less than 10% likely to be recycled.

Powder formats are generally considered more eco-friendly but laundry liquid is often preferred for its convenience! So here is SPRUCE in an all new format - GRAIN-TO-LIQUID! One pack dilutes to 1.2 litres concentrated liquid that has to be used ONLY 30ml (as opposed to 60ml for other laundry liquids) and provides upto 40 washes.

Its ingredients have been carefully chosen to be gentle on our hands and non-toxic to the environment around us.

The grains are packaged in a fully compostable pouch. This pouch can be added to a home composting unit or to your garden soil, and will break down under natural conditions in about 6 months. It is CPCB approved and will also be accepted at a community or industrial composting unit near you. If not composting yourself, the best way would be to segregate and inform your waste collector about this material.
